Skills and Training
This module will develop your knowledge and clinical skills in obstetric ultrasound procedures and allow you to critically evaluate professional issues relating to ultrasound practice in this emotive area.
You will develop your knowledge and understanding to perform, interpret and report a wide range of clinical ultrasound examinations in obstetrics in a competent and professional manner, whilst being able to respond to changes in working practice and apply new techniques after critically evaluating them.
You will develop the skills to be able to critically review management options for a range of common anomalies and situations.

Unless you already hold a recognised ultrasound qualification, this module can only be taken as part of a programme, not as a stand-alone module.
A BSc (hons) 2:2 or above in a relevant health related subject, IELTS level 7 (min. 7 in all categories) and a clinical placement for three days per week in a recognised clinical department are needed prior to entry.
Co-requisites: For the ultrasound programme, this module can only be chosen if the Fundamental Principles of Ultrasound Practice and Developing Advanced Practice modules have already been studied/will also be studied. This module cannot be taken as a stand-alone module, without a previous accredited qualification in ultrasound.English Requirements
