The BSc (Hons) Professional Aviation Pilot Practice is delivered through a partnership between CTC Aviation Group and the Institute for Work Based Learning at Middlesex University and gives you the opportunity to gain academic credit and a qualification based on your technical and practical flying training and early career practice. The partnership also works with wider industry support from the Aviation Skills Partnership.

¿Qué objetivos tiene esta formación?

Requisitos: Interviews, entrance tests, portfolios and auditions Candidates who are successfully shortlisted will be invited to attend a formal Assessment Day at CTC Aviation. Entry to the programme is conditional on passing assessments at interview stage.

Temario

At the start of the programme you will join CTC Aviation and proceed through Ground School and Flying Training. You will be examined in accordance with Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations at the appropriate points and awarded academic credit for completion of:

The CAA Theoretical Knowledge units of study which have also been embedded within four Level 4 University modules Aircraft and Air Environment; The Science of Flight; Navigation; Flight Operations.
The phases of Flying Training which take place in New Zealand or USA, and Bournemouth which have been embedded within three Level 5 University modules Basic Flying 1; Basic Flying 2; Advanced Flying.
On completion of the CTC Wings course and the issue of your frozen air transport pilots licence (ATPL (F)), you will take the Jet Orientation and Multi Crew Co Operation module.
This will complete the Level 5 programme and you will then proceed to employment with an airline and progress to Level 6 of your programme.
Your Type Rating and Base Training courses provide the starting point for Level 6 of the programme, which will be overseen by Middlesex University in partnership with your employer. The remaining University modules at Level 6 relate to your operational practice and employer based training undertaken during the first 6 12 months of your flying career including: Aircraft Specifics; Airline Orientation and Integration; Evaluating and Managing Risks; Threat and Error Management
