Temario

Year 1 - CertHE First year will introduce you to general concepts in the golf industry and professional sport. Core modules are: Activity Performance and Skill Acquisition Introduction to Business Introduction to Equipment Technology for Golf Sport Coaching and Leadership: An Introduction Sport and Exercise Science: An Introduction Work Placement 1: Carrying out a practical work placement over the summer season at a range of golf facilities. Year 3 - BA In third year, academic skills will be further developed alongside their practical and industry-specific skill sets. Core modules are: Design, Manage and Evaluate Human Performance Developing Entrepreneurial Mindset Research Skills Small Business Planning Strength and Conditioning Sports Science: A Critical Analysis Work Placement 3: Carrying out a practical work placement over the summer season at a range of golf facilities.   Year 2 - DipHE You will continue to build on and develop the concepts from year one and begin to evaluate their application in practice. New topics will also be introduced. Core modules are: Applied Coaching and Leadership  Event Planning and Organisation Golf Equipment and Analysis  Sport and Exercise Psychology: An Introduction Retailing Work Placement 2: Carrying out a practical work placement over the summer season at a range of golf facilities. Year 4 - BA (Hons) The Honours year is used to deepen your understanding and consolidate the themes carried throughout the programme.  Core modules are: Dissertation (double credit module) Niche Professional: A Business Analysis Sport and Exercise Psychology Work Placement 4: Carrying out a practical work placement over the summer season at a range of golf facilities. Optional modules include: Advanced Coaching Applications Ethics and Law in Sport
