In this course, you will learn by hands on experience with Florentine distinguished artists the traditional pottery techniques of Italy that have been continued since the ancient time, Renaissance, to modern day, such as maiolica tin-glazed pottery with vivid colors.

Absolute beginners to professionals will be able to achieve satisfaction by our small-class, tailor-made instructions, from the very basic to the advanced techniques, through enriched program contents.

In a relaxed atmosphere, the students will develop their skills based on the communication between the students and experienced instructor, who will encourage the liberal expression of themselves and their potentials.

The course is composed by 4 themes, "General Italian Pottery" "Italian Creative Pottery" "Wheel-throwing" and " Pottery Paint". The contents include learning each technique, as well as the theoretical understanding of the materials, chemicals, or how to control temperature of the kiln.

You can take each course from 4 weeks. You can also specialize in one theme in 3 months, or take different theme every month. In 4 week program, you can expect to learn simple hand twisting technique to create objects using terra cotta. Experience the joy of feeling of Italian clay.
