The course examines segmentals and suprasegmentals at both lexical and postlexical level
Also, it provides the participants with a framework for pedagogical applications
DIRECTED TOWARDS: English teachers or people with a degree in a similar area of study, with a good level of English proficiency, and interest in teaching
OVERALL AIMS: In this course, students will be equip with a solid grounding in the theoretical and practical aspects of English phonetics
Thus, it examines the confines of phonetics as a linguistic science, with a particular focus on articulatory phonetics
The course also aims to provide the participants with an overview of pronunciation teaching throughout the TESOL history, with a view to designing a critical and situated pronunciation instructional model in an ELF/EIL context
